About Us
Amanda and Malcolm welcome you to Bowenwood Cottage. Bowenwood Cottage was originally the stables for the original house situated on 500 acres.  The main residence was built as an extension to a 2-room dwelling in 1954. The stables burnt down in the 1967 bushfires and was repurposed into a 2-bedroom cottage in 1984 using many of the original sandstone blocks.

Premium Location

Our 2 bedroom cottage is located on a 2 acre property with a separate entrance from the main house. It is fully furnished with access to a sauna to relax in. The property has many trees and pleasant gardens. Ideal for executive short stays from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. It is only 5 minutes to excellent sports amenities - Kingborough Sport Centre, Twin Ovals and Tennis Club. Pop down to the beach which is only 10 minutes away with a pub, eateries and cafes. You can enjoy the colourful sails of the local regattas held Kingston Sailing Club. Hobart is only 15 minutes away and Huonville, the gateway to the South is only 20 minutes away.

Luxurious Interiors

Our 2 bedroom cottage has extremely comfortable beds with every detail chose to ensure a home like stay with maximum comfort and luxury. Enjoy a complimentary Port as you wind down. You won't be cold with a wood burner (wood supplied) and heat pumps in the living area and bedrooms. A BBQ is provided for those casual times to enjoy with friends.
